How much will my property rent for?

We adjust rates on short-term rental sites according to market conditions. Prices vary according to the time of year, the tourism industry, city events, etc.

Who handles maintenance calls?

We do! We are on-call 24 hours a day, so your tenants will never have to wait to hear back and get any issues rectified.

How does invoicing and payment work?

All payments from guests will deposit to you, including payment for cleaning fees. We invoice monthly for our fee plus cleaning fees and any costs of supplies and maintenance.

How do annual taxes work?

All income and expenses from short-term rentals must be claimed with your annual taxes. We provide monthly invoicing, receipts for expenses, as well as year end reporting and a tax checklist to ensure you have all of the information you need.

What licensing is required to operate a short-term rental?

A business license is required in Kelowna to operate short-term rentals. We help you through the process of applying from start to finish. The current costs are $345 for principal residences and $750 for non-principal residences annually.

Is Lake Life licensed and insured?

Yes! Lake Life Property Management is licensed through Consumer Protection BC.
