i. Onboarding

How long does onboarding take?

Most owners are listed and live in 10–14 days from signed agreement to first booking.

What does Lake Life provide vs. what do I provide?

You provide a furnished, finished unit and parking. We provide hotel-grade linens, smart-lock, welcome book, photography, and any small staging adjustments to bring it to standard.

Do I need to be in BC for onboarding?

No. We handle everything in person on our end; you sign documents from anywhere.
ii. Guest experience & operations

How do guests get support during their stay?

Every guest receives clear arrival instructions and a smooth check-in, whether access is contactless or coordinated directly. We provide responsive, timely communication throughout the stay.

Can I block dates for myself?

Always. Any week, any time. We prepare the unit for you the way we'd prepare it for a guest.

What if a guest damages something?

Photo-checked turnovers catch most damage immediately. Standard platform protections plus our own deposit cover the rest. We coordinate claims, you don't.
iii. Licensing & reporting

I'm out-of-province or non-resident. Can you still manage my property?

Yes. Many of our owners live elsewhere. We provide clear, organized owner reporting that you can share with your accountant. We don't prepare your taxes, but we make them easier.

Are you familiar with BC's STR rules?

Yes. We work with STR eligible buildings and properties, and stay current with City of Kelowna licensing and platform-side requirements.
iv. Roster & availability

Do you take new owners year-round?

A small number each year, prioritised by property fit and timing. Most onboardings happen October to March.

Do you only work in a few specific buildings?

No. We work with STR eligible condos and vacation rental properties across Kelowna. Buildings like Aqua, Movala and Brooklyn are examples of the kinds of properties we support, not the full scope.
