Pinnacle Pointe, which you will also see written as Pinnacle Point, sits at 1873 and 1875 Country Club Dr in Quail Ridge, and both addresses are on the City of Kelowna's list of properties eligible for short-term rentals as a principal use since June 1, 2026. If you own a unit at either, you can rent it short-term without living in it, provided the unit is licensed and your strata bylaws allow it.
Two addresses, one building, both eligible
The City's list carries Pinnacle Pointe as a range, 1873 to 1875 Country Club Dr, and owners at both numbers hold short-term rental licences. If you are checking the list for your own unit, look for the range rather than a single number.
Under principal use, the City says a property "can operate as a short-term rental for any length of time and does not need to be owner occupied for a minimum number of days per year." Getting into that sub-zone required a Strata Council Consent Application Form completed by an authorised strata council member, so the building has already been through that step. Your own bylaws can still set rules on top of the zoning, so read them before you list.
Where Pinnacle Pointe sits among Kelowna's licensed buildings
From the City of Kelowna business licence register, last read in September 2026:
- 1873 Country Club Dr: more than 15 current short-term rental licences
- 1875 Country Club Dr: more than 10
More than 30 between them. That makes Pinnacle Pointe the most licensed eligible address in Kelowna outside the downtown core and the Mission waterfront, which is worth knowing if you assumed nightly renting up here was unusual. It is not. It is established, and your listing competes with neighbours who have been doing it for a while.
What a Pinnacle Pointe owner needs before listing
The paperwork is the same in every eligible building: a City short-term rental licence, provincial registration, strata and owner consent, fire and safety equipment, and the licence number on the listing. For Pinnacle Pointe, the licence guide has the order to do it in and what it costs, and the Kelowna rules explain the limits inside the unit, including one booking at a time and the 90-day definition of short-term. The eligible buildings list shows where this address sits among the others.
Quail Ridge guests are not downtown guests
This is the part owners up here tend to get wrong by copying a downtown listing. A Quail Ridge condo is not competing for the walk-to-Bernard crowd. It is competing for golf trips, airport-adjacent stays, people visiting UBC Okanagan, and families who want parking and space rather than a nightlife address. That changes the photographs you lead with, the minimum stay that makes sense, and how much the shoulder season is worth chasing.
It also means a different pricing shape across the year. Put your own numbers through the short-term rental calculator and see what is left after the costs, rather than working from a downtown figure.
